1. 两者都指"几乎,差不多",都是副词,在all,every,always以及动词的否定式之前,两者可互换.2. 在nearly前可用pretty/very/not修饰,而almost之前不能用这些词 修饰.3. almost可放在any以及no,none,never,noboby,nothing等否定词之前,而nearly不能.

最基本的一点：almost首字母A总是在not或never的首字母N的前面，所以我们只能说：almost not，从来不说not almost。而却可以说not...nearly。

almost 和nearly 的通常可以互换：He was almost/nearly run over by a car. 他差一点就被车子辗过。但almost可与nobody,nothing,nowhere,nerve连用，而nearly则不可，又，有时almost 比nearly “接近的”程度更强。

再补充一点:almost 多用于主观上期望发生的好事情..如 He almost take the prize.他差不多能得奖了.nearly 多用于主观上不期望发生的事情..如 He nearly can't pass the exam.他差点就挂掉了.

在all.every.always以及副词的否定式前两者用法相同在nearly 前可用pertty.not.very修饰ALMOST不可以用这些词最后ALMOST能放在ANY NO NONE，NEVER等否定词前，NEARLY不行正好我也查这个呢，刚查着，呵呵
