Wet behind the ears 说年轻人涉世未深，言行幼稚，中文中有个成语叫“乳臭未干”。英文中也有个现成的说法：Wet behind the ears。Wet behind the ears 从20世纪早期开始在报刊杂志中出现，而在此之前，这一说法已经被人们广泛使用了。大家也许不知道，胎生动物，如马、牛、老虎和狮子之类的幼崽出生后，浑身都是湿的，身上渐渐干了之后，耳朵背后还是湿的，还没有真正长大呢。所以当你发现某人太年轻, 缺乏经验，不适合做某事的时候, 就可以用wet behind the ears，也可以说成not dry behind the ears。 例如：You are still wet behind the ears。（你还嫩了点儿。） 但是，正如一句广告语所说：年轻, 没有什么不可以! 所以，风华正茂的你可不要被You are wet behind the ears。给吓坏了哦! 。
