请问一下各位哥哥姐姐,宾语从句的引导词WETHER和IF有什么区别呢,它们各自的用法又是什么呢

以下四种情况只能用whether.1)句子后面出现了or not,只能用whether.eg。I don't know whether he still works in that factory or not.2)在谓语动词中出现了介词。eg。I wonder about whether he is ok.3)后接动词不定式时，只能用whether。eg。I haven't decided whether to go there with him。4)引导主语从句时，只能用whether。Whether he'll go there is still unknown.

据我们敬爱的英语老师说,IF前不能接介词,但WHETHER可以,所以我认为,一般尽量用WHETHER而不用IF.

实际上他们用法相同也有不同。1、在宾语从句中，两者都引导一般疑问句。译为“是否”eg： I want to know ,"Is he our teacher ?"---I want to know if /whether he is our teacher .2、以下两种情况只能用whether.1)句子后面出现了or not,只能用whether.eg:I don't know whether he still works in that factory .2)在谓语动词中出现了介词。eg:I wonder about whether he is ok.

做宾语从句的引导词时，意义没区别！！都是用在宾语从句由问句改成的句子。但是：whether后可以跟not,而if不能！！如：She asked me whether or not I finished my work.句中只能用whether不能用if

当表示是否时，WETHER和IF同义，可互换，另外，IF还可以表示如果。
