A long time ago去掉Aher name is Mary既然都是过去式，就要统一is--wasthe human--去掉human beings So 在because后面能用吗？去掉！of the people（So Mary went to the human world to talk with the king of the people）？wanted Mary stay on the land forever是want sb to do sth"She led the animals in the sea send her to the land——She led the sea animals which send her to the land 仅供参考~

1。"A long time ago"="long time ago" 表达“很久以前”的固定搭配。2。"there was a beautiful。。。She was clever and brave。"="there was a beautiful mermaid in the sea。 Her name was Mary and she was clever and brave。"或者"there was abeautiful mermaid named Mary who was clever and brave in the sea。" 第一，应注意时态为过去时；第二，there be句型后不好加不同类型的并列句，最好将逗号改为句号或者运用定语从句。3。"But because of the。。。by the human"="But because of。。。the sea by human" “human”一词前面不用加定冠词，实际上就是不能加冠词。以下重复者不挑出。4。"and might disappeared"="and might disappear" 在情态动词（过去时态也一样）后面的实意动词应为原型。5。"She led the animals in the sea send her to the land。"="She led the sea animals which send her to the land" 原句中出现了两个过去时的谓语动词，主语不同，易产生混淆语义不明，可改成定语从句形式。大约有以上几点，不对之处还请多指教。 。
